HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN LENNON

Exactly 70 years ago was born John Lennon, who made history, revolutionized the rock, he dreamed of a world where peace reigned and influenced many people.

John Winston Ono Lennon was born in Liverpool (England) on 09 October 1940, was a musician, composer, writer and activist for peace. John Lennon has won worldwide notoriety as the founder of British rock group The Beatles formed in 1960. In late 1969, Lennon announced to his bandmates he was leaving the Beatles. In the same year he married Yoko Ono and used the repercussions of her marriage to promote an event for peace.

During the 1970s, John and Yoko became involved in various political events to promote peace, women’s rights and workers and also demanding an end to the Vietnam War. Among his most famous songs are Imagine that speaks a little of Lennon’s dream of world peace.
